Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Beacon Energy plc collects when you visit beaconenergyplc.com, why, and what rights you have. It covers this website only.
Who we are
Beacon Energy plc ("Beacon", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We are a company incorporated in the Isle of Man with company number 010493V.
Registered office: 55 Athol Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 1LA
Email: info@beaconenergyplc.com
Telephone: +44 (0)1624 604740
We have not appointed a data protection officer. For any question about this policy or your data, email info@beaconenergyplc.com.
What we collect and why
We do not ask you to register, and the website has no forms. We collect only the following.
When you visit any page
Our web server records technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. We use this to deliver the website, keep it secure and diagnose faults.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure and working website.
- Kept for: 60 days, then deleted.
- Hosted by: Contabo GmbH, on a private server in the United Kingdom.
Analytics (only if you accept)
If you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrived and roughly where they are (country and city). Google Analytics 4 does not record or store your IP address. If you click "Reject", or make no choice, Google Analytics does not load and nothing is sent to Google.
- Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing deletes the analytics cookies on this site.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States (see "International transfers" below).
- Kept for: 2 months.
Images, documents and videos
Images, PDF documents and video files on this website are delivered from the content delivery network of Prismic (Prismic.io SAS, France), the service we use to manage the website's content. When your browser loads one, Prismic's network receives your IP address and browser details, which it needs to send you the file.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering the website efficiently.
YouTube videos (only if you press play)
Some pages include YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video is played by YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), which receives your IP address and may set cookies or store data on your device. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy (opens in new tab)
- Legal basis: your consent, given by pressing play.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you write. We use this only to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Kept for: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then up to 6 years for our records.
Links to other websites
Links to other websites, such as X, the London Stock Exchange's Regulatory News Service and Google Maps, take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
Cookies
- bce_consent (set by Beacon, lasts 180 days): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask again on every page. It is strictly necessary, so it does not need consent.
- _ga (set by Google Analytics only if you accept, lasts 2 years): distinguishes one visitor from another.
- _ga_ followed by an ID (set by Google Analytics only if you accept, lasts 2 years): keeps track of your visit.
YouTube may set its own cookies when you press play on a video (see above). We use no other cookies, and no advertising or social media tracking.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers named above, which process it on our behalf: our hosting provider (Contabo), Prismic, and Google (for analytics, only with your consent). We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a regulator or the police.
This policy does not cover shareholder records. Our share register is maintained by our registrar, Computershare Investor Services, under its own privacy notice.
International transfers
Our website server is in the United Kingdom, and Prismic is based in France, within the European Economic Area. Both are recognised under Isle of Man law as providing adequate protection for personal data.
If you accept analytics, Google may transfer analytics data to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, which recognise it as providing adequate protection.
Your rights
Under the Isle of Man's data protection law (the Data Protection (Application of GDPR) Order 2018), and the UK GDPR or EU GDPR where they apply to you, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data;
- object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask us to transfer data you gave us to another organisation, where technically possible;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email info@beaconenergyplc.com. We will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Most of the data this website collects (server logs and analytics) cannot be linked to you by name. If we cannot identify you in it, we will tell you.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first at info@beaconenergyplc.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator:
- Isle of Man: the Information Commissioner, inforights.im (opens in new tab)
- United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk (opens in new tab)

Children
This website is intended for investors and the business community. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data.
